Hong Kong & Macao Activation Tour (II)

香港と澳門へのアクティベーション・ツアー 🚀

The next part of our trip to the southern coast of Macau was both an exploratory and activation tour for us at Concept Design I/O & Mikey Hood (Turned On Inc.) 🇲🇴

We took this chance to look at the expansive opportunities for local experience, with additional conversations on the overseas challenger brands aiming for #ImpactActivations in Japan / APAC leading up to #OsakaExpo2025 🎉🎌🎉

Market Activation in Japan:

The opportunities for inbound and outbound marketing are fully back on the radar, and our plans to stay ahead of the curve are expanding 🎯 

Our host was Steven Caller, a long time veteran of the local scene, and we were later joined by digital-nomad-at-large Henry Fielding💯 As both are long-time residents in the region, we enjoyed their wide-ranging perspectives on the emerging possibilities throughout Asia 🇲🇾 🇻🇳 🇹🇭 🇭🇰 🇨🇳 🇹🇼

The trip for the first time to Macau was an adventure from Kowloon in Hong Kong to the border transit point, and then over and under the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge at Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau (HZMB / 港珠澳大橋) 🌊

Arrival started with a first-class experience settling in at Conrad Hotels & Resorts on the Cotai Strip within the larger complex of the The Londoner Hotel 🇬🇧

Soon after we were invited to experience dining at Dynasty 🐉 in the City of Dreams Macau ✨ produced by Melco Resorts & Entertainment 🏖️ The evening finished with views that can only be had in the old town from Sky 21 🌃

A return visit across the way to Centro Histórico de Macau took us to the well-known scenic spots in the afternoon ⛪️ Exceptional dining followed at the Grand Lisboa Palace, within the KARL LAGERFELD 💎, featuring classic favorites and seasonal specialties of Portugal at Mesa by José Avillez Group 🇵🇹

The highlight of course was the main event later in the night with massive sets to a full venue at Club Para by DJs Sesco and VIVID 

We are definitely looking forward to incorporating the insights and picking up on the leads we developed as the year progresses ✅
